Dear Ken,

I read an article today by Ben Gibbard in Paste magazine that sums up my life PERFECTLY. What I did for Kesey and Eugene Ben Gibbard for Jack Keroauc and Big Sur. The song's about how he followed Jack Keroauc's spirit to Big Sur, and what it felt like to be there. It felt good to hear those words and those concepts. I'm not alone, I never was. We're out here world, don't ignore us. Celebrate us for what we are because at the end of the day we don't know what we're doing. Anyway. I wanted to put these lyrics somewhere where I could read them. At this moment in my life I am living in this song.

I descended a dusty gravel ride
Beneath the Bixby Canyon Bridge
Until I eventually arrived
At the place where your soul had died.

And barefoot in the shallow creek
I grabbed some stones from underneath
And waited for you to speak to me

And the silence, it became so very clear
That you had long ago disappeared
I cursed myself for being surprised
That this didn't play like it did in my mind

All the way from San Francisco
As i chased the end of your road
'Cause I've still got miles to go

And I want to know my fate
If I keep up this way

And it's hard to want to stay awake
When everyone you meet
They all seem to be asleep
And you wonder if you're missing your dream

You can't see your dream
You can't see your dream
You just can't see your dream

Dream, dream, dream

And then it started getting dark
And I trudged back to where the car was parked
No closer to any kind of truth
As I must assume was the case with you.

Thank you, Ben Gibbard, thank you.

Yessssssssssssss!
I am really into "No Sunlight" right now as well this one.

"No Sunlight"

When I was young, lying in the grass
I felt so safe in a warming bath
Of sunlight
Of sunlight

Fast open sky could do no harm
Like an embrace of a mothers arms
In sunlight [4x]

With every year that came to pass
More clouds appear until the sky went black
And now there's
No sunlight,
No sunlight.
And now there's
No sunlight,
No sunlight anymore.

You dissapeared with the same speed
The idealistic things i believed
The optimist died inside of me
No sunlight [4x]

You dissapeared with the same speed
The idealistic thing i believed
The optimist died inside of me
No sunlight [7x]
No sunlight anymore.
